Persian rugs are the most sought after in the world. These hand knotted beauties are considered works of art and the original designs are often copied in other countries. Persian rugs typically have a floral design with a higher thread count, and are named after the city or village in which they were woven like Heriz, Sarouk, Sarab or Tabriz. They are known for their vibrant colors, durability and high quality which is why they last for generations. In fact, many Persian rugs are considered an investment and are more likely to go up in value as they age.
